This tool should help make quilting easier.

I've wanted something like this for so long! I have patterns from a wide variety of sources with varying seam allowances. I don't always recall where to position my needle for each different one. A seam gauge isn't as accurate. I love these guides because I can put the needle IN the hole, and then figure out where the edge of the fabric will go. If there aren't any good markings for the measurement, then I can fiddle with the needle position so some marking on the foot lines up with the edge. I reach for this item so often! I bought the metric and imperial versions. Such a helpful little sewing tool. The etched acrylic will likely last longer than I will.

Finally! I can know exactly where the needle is hitting my fabric. I'm using this in combination with Cluck Cluck sew 1/4 measuring washi tape. I can readjust the tape for when I want a true 1/4" versus a scant 1/4" (7mm) because I bought both the metric version and the inch version. A true lifesaver "must-have" tool for any quilter!

I have a 65 year + Commander sewing machine which I use to piece quilts. I love its simplicity, only has 2 stitch settings - frontwards and reverse! - but it does not have a seam guide. So I was pleased to find this tool. I am sure that it will help. Looks very sturdy - arrived quickly. Thank you!
